“Before I was a student in this (Jewish) school, Yavne, I was a student in a Christian school. I didn’t feel connected there. It’s hard to describe in words the feeling of being here, the acceptance, the feeling of belonging, the fact that people learn Hebrew.

My family and me made Alyiah a few years ago. We lived in the south part of Israel, in Kasterim, next to Ashkelon. There was a war and it was really hard, and se we came back. I dream to to go back to Israel and join the army, defend my country.

I follow the news on Israel. One time, I showed the news to a friend of mine, I wanted to share what I’m worried about. In response he searched the news and said that Israel does bad things, and it’s Israel’s fault. People don’t understand.”
